As part of the official opening ceremony of the 6th Summer Camp of Diaspora Youth, dedicated to the "Year of the Constitution and Sovereignty," is organized jointly by the State Committee on Work with Diaspora and the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, world-renowned photojournalist Reza Deghati was presented with the "For Service to the Diaspora" medal.

The award was presented by Fuad Muradov, Chairman of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora, and Elchin Yusubov, Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the city of Khankendi, and the Aghdara and Khojaly districts.

The Committee Chairman highly appreciated the invaluable efforts of renowned photojournalist Reza Deghati in conveying the truths about Azerbaijan to the international community.

The well-known photographer expressed his pride in receiving the award. He stated that he would continue his work spreading the truths about Azerbaijan on the international stage.

It should be noted that the French photographer of Azerbaijani origin has played an irreplaceable role in conveying the realities of Karabakh and the Khojaly genocide to the international arena through documentary photographs.
