Fakhraddin Manafov visited the Azerbaijan House in Hungary

A meeting with People’s Artist, renowned film and theatre actor Fakhraddin Manafov, was held at the Azerbaijan House located in Budapest, the capital of Hungary. The meeting was attended by our compatriots living in Hungary, as well as the ambassadors of Azerbaijan Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Georgia to Hungary.
Head of the Hungary Azerbaijan House Ibrahim Safarly emphasized that the meeting with Fakhraddin Manafov, who dedicated much of his life to the development of cinema and theatre in Azerbaijan, holds special significance for our compatriots. He stated that such meetings play an important role in promoting national culture, and strengthening young people’s interest in art. The prominent actor’s invaluable contributions to cinema and theatre serve as an inspiration for the younger generation.
In his speech, Tahir Taghizadeh, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Hungary highlighted Fakhraddin Manafov’s rich artistic career, noting that the distinctive characters he has portrayed in various screen works and on theatre stages have earned him wide audience acclaim both in our country and abroad. He also emphasized that the roles created by the People’s Artist have made an invaluable contribution to the development of national cinema and culture.
Afterwards, Fakhraddin Manafov answered our compatriots’ questions, shared insights into his rich acting career, experience gained in the fields of cinema and theatre, as well as the role of culture in shaping society. He regarded his love and dedication to art as the key factor behind his success and advised everyone to continuously work on themselves and remain committed to national values. The People’s Artist expressed his gratitude to the Azerbaijan House in Hungary, operating with the support of the State Committee on Work with the Diaspora of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as to the Azerbaijanis who participated in the meeting, for the hospitality shown.
The meeting also included discussions on Azerbaijani cinema, as well as on the roles the artist has portrayed in film and theatre. The state’s ongoing support for representatives of culture and the arts was also emphasized.
A video featuring Fakhraddin Manafov performing “Othello’s monologue” was shown at the meeting.
The meeting which is of great importance for the culture and the arts, left pleasant and memorable impressions on participants.
