The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia hosted the meeting with the Azerbaijani community

Fuad Muradov, Chairman of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora, met with the Azerbaijani community residing in Arab countries in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.
The meeting began with the playing of the national anthems of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, followed by a moment of respect in honor of our martyrs, who sacrificed their lives for the integrity of our country.
Shahin Abdullayev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia emphasized that the friendly relations between the two countries have continued to strengthen and highlighted the contributions of the Azerbaijani community in this regard. He highly appreciated the successful integration of Azerbaijanis.
"The diaspora serves as an important bridge between countries, peoples, and its activities are important in all areas. The Azerbaijani communities in Arab countries promote our culture and values in their countries of residence and other countries through cultural diplomacy. We always appreciate this activity," – the Committee Chairman said during the meeting with the Azerbaijani community in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
During the meeting, information was provided about long-term projects implemented by the committee and the diaspora, including Azerbaijani Houses abroad, Coordination Councils, weekend schools, Summer Camps of Diaspora Youth.
Videos of speeches by President Ilham Aliyev in connection with the victory in the Second Karabakh War were also shown.
The meeting continued with an exchange of ideas and responses to inquiries. The community members emphasized the importance of such meetings, and shared their suggestions regarding more effective opportunities for engagement.
Subsequently, UAE Coordinator for the Coordination Council of Azerbaijanis Living in Arab Countries Nurana Huseynova, Oman Coordinator Saida Khalilova and cardiologist Jamila Rasulova, who lives in Saudi Arabia, were awarded medal "For Service in Diaspora Activities." New coordinators were elected for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The event continued with a cultural program. The community members received Azerbaijani music and national dances with great enthusiasm.
