Budapest hosted a concert on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of Heydar Aliyev
17 June, 2023The Embassy of Azerbaijan in Hungary organized a concert of classical music and photo-exhibition on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of National Leader Heydar Aliyev. Heydar Aliyev Foundation, State Committee on Work with Diaspora and Azerbaijan House in Budapest provided organizational support to the event.
At the grand event held at the Ferens List Music Academy, the famous Solnok Symphony Orchestra of Hungary, talented soloist Seljan Nasibli performed the works of the Azerbaijani composers Gara Garayev, Fikret Amirov, Niyazi and Asaf Zeynalli, as well as Hungarian composers Bela Bartok and Giacomo Puccini. People's Artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan, maestro Yalchin Adigozalov directed the concert.
Representatives of the Hungarian Prime Minister's office and the National Assembly, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Economic Development and Ministry of Culture and Innovation and diplomatic corps accredited in Budapest, members of the local community and mass media means, members of the Azerbaijani diaspora and Azerbaijani students attended the event.
A documentary film dedicated to National Leader Heydar Aliyev was demonstrated at the event. Ambassador Tahir Taghizadeh spoke about the role of prominent statesman Heydar Aliyev in the development of Azerbaijan's statehood, and has pointed out that the visionary policy founded by the Great Leader is being continued under President Ilham Aliyev’s leadership. Ambassador also mentioned the successful activity of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in the field of promotion of Azerbaijani culture in the world under the leadership of First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva.
The concert was met with great applause by participants. After the concert, an exhibition of photos depicting the main stages of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Hungary was presented.
