Azerbaijan was represented at the international ethno-festival in Almaty

Azerbaijani diaspora took part in the international ethno-festival of Turkic peoples, held in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

12 countries of the world, including Azerbaijan, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Karakalpakstan, Dagestan, Chuvash, and Bashkir Republics of the Russian Federation were represented at the festival held in  The Boraldai Saka burial mounds’’  archaeological park.

Samples reflecting the ancient history, rich culture, national traditions and cuisine of our people were presented in the Azerbaijan pavilion (yurt).

“Goygol State Song and Dance Ensemble” of the Ganja State Philharmonic performed classic Azerbaijani music. Kazakhs, who visited the Azerbaijan pavilion  greeted the performance of the Azerbaijani musicians with applause.

Horse races, national sports and folk games of the Turkish people were demonstrated within the framework of the festival. It should be noted that, more than 10,000 residents visited the festival in two days.

The mass media of Kazakhstan gave wide coverage to the opinions of the active members of the Azerbaijani diaspora about the festival.
