A presentation on Azerbaijan was held at Yamato University in Japan

As part of his visit to Japan, Fuad Muradov, Chairman of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora of the Republic of Azerbaijan, met with the Rector of Yamato University as well as with students and faculty members.

During the meeting with the Rector of the University, Shinji Matsumoto, detailed information was provided about the establishment of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora, its activities, and the large-scale projects it has implemented. Opportunities for cooperation with the university were also discussed, and it was noted that Azerbaijani youth have shown great interest in pursuing education in Japan.

Shinji Matsumoto, the Rector of the University, welcomed the guests, spoke about the history of the university he leads, its activities, and its educational process. He highly appreciated the growing interest of Azerbaijani students in studying at the university under his leadership.

Subsequently, students were given detailed information about the history of our country's independence, its regional position, and the modern stages of development of our state. The Chairman of the Committee delivered a presentation to the students based on concrete facts about Azerbaijan’s history of independence, its commitment to progressive socio-political values, democracy, and its rich multicultural traditions.

Japanese students listened with great interest to the presentation on the restoration of Azerbaijan's sovereignty over its territories that had been under occupation for many years, the meeting held in Washington, mediated by U.S. President Donald Trump, between the President of Azerbaijan and the Prime Minister of Armenia, which aimed at a peace agreement, as well as other important historical and political events.

Afterwards, the “Karabakh Shikestesi”, performed at a concert in liberated Shusha, conducted by People's Artist and Maestro Yalchin Adigozalov, was presented. The students warmly applauded both the “Karabakh Shikestesi” and the maestro who participated in the meeting with them.

The meeting at university, continued with an exchange of views and answering the students’ questions.

At the end, a number of books published with the support of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora, were donated to the library of Yamato University.
