The 6th Summer Camp of Diaspora Youth begins
1 August, 2025
There are only two days left until the start of the 6th Summer Camp of Diaspora Youth, dedicated to the "Year of Constitution and Sovereignty," which is organized jointly by the State Committee on Work with Diaspora and the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
The camp will be held in Khankendi, which symbolizes the restoration of our territorial integrity and state sovereignty, from August 3 to 9, 2025.
The 6th Summer Camp of Diaspora Youth will be attended by 128 young Azerbaijanis and youth from nations friendly to Azerbaijan from 61 countries around the world.
The program of the 6th Summer Camp of Diaspora Youth features a wide range of engaging activities. The camp participants will receive detailed information about the diaspora policy pursued under the leadership of the head of state. They will meet with government officials and diplomats, experts from various fields, family members of martyrs, and heroic veterans. In addition, they will have the opportunity to get better acquainted with Karabakh, attend mother tongue classes, take part in entertainment programs, and participate in intellectual games.
President Ilham Aliyev has consistently called on Azerbaijanis around the world to maintain strong ties with their homeland. During the 5th Congress of World Azerbaijanis held in Shusha on April 22–23, 2022, the victorious Commander-in-Chief stated: “Of course, all of us — Azerbaijanis living in Azerbaijan — want our compatriots abroad to stay closely connected to their historical homeland. It would be wonderful if every Azerbaijani could visit Azerbaijan at least once a year, especially to travel to the liberated territories.” The State Committee on Work with Diaspora takes these recommendations of the head of state as guiding principles in all its activities, including the organization of the Summer Camps for Diaspora Youth.
The Summer Camps of Diaspora Youth have achieved significant interest and earned widespread recognition both within the country and among the diaspora communities. The growing number of applicants and increasing enthusiasm each year clearly reflect this success.
It should be noted that the cities of Sheki, Shamakhi, Shusha, Nakhchivan, and Lachin have hosted the previous five Summer Camps of Diaspora Youth. Each year, the organizing committee of the camps receives more than 3,000 applications from over 60 countries, and more than 700 of the applicants have participated in the summer camps.
