An event dedicated to May 28 – Azerbaijan’s Independence Day was held at the Azerbaijan House based in the village of Kouachra, Lebanon.

The event was attended by Mohammad Khaled Abdullah, Mayor of the Kouachra Municipality, Abdul Khader Khodr, Chairman of the Youth Committee in Kouachra, members of the committee, public representatives, teachers, students, and schoolchildren.

The event began with the playing the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The ceremony continued with a cultural program prepared by the students of the Azerbaijan House. The program featured a presentation on Azerbaijan’s history of independence, statehood traditions, and the significance of Independence Day.

The recitations of the poems “Azerbaijan” and “May 28” by teenagers and young participants were met with great interest and enthusiastic applause from the audience.

At the conclusion of the event, it was emphasized that such gatherings contribute to strengthening friendship, cultural ties, and mutual understanding between Azerbaijan and Lebanon. Appreciation was also expressed to everyone who contributed to the organization and successful implementation of the event.
