Chairman of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora Fuad Muradov met with the chairman of the Sephardi Jewish community of Baku and rabbi Zamir Isayev.

Committee Chairman emphasized the active role of Jewish community in conveying the Azerbaijani truth to the international community, as well as in promoting the country’s multicultural values and rich, national and cultural heritage. He expressed his gratitude to the guest for support shown in strengthening the unity of Azerbaijanis worldwide and for contributions to promoting Azerbaijani culture abroad.

Zamir Isayev thanked for attention shown. He stated that he feels great pride in representing Azerbaijan. He also emphasized that he is ready to continue contributing to the promotion of our country’s traditions of tolerance globally.

At the meeting Committee Chairman presented a book to the guest about National Leader Heydar Aliyev published in the Hebrew language.

An exchange of views on a number of issues of mutual interest was held and prospects for future cooperation were discussed.
