10 April, 2026
Information about a compact disc (CD) featuring piano works by Azerbaijani and European composers has been published in the Luxembourg-based “Pizzicato” music magazine. The disc was released with the Fund for Support to Azerbaijani Diaspora under the State Committee on Work with Diaspora of the Republic of Azerbaijan and on the initiative of Azerbaijani pianist Gulchin Aslanova-Lutz, who lives in Germany.
The main purpose of the project is to present the rich heritage of Azerbaijani and European compositional schools on a single platform, and to highlight parallels and mutual influences between both music cultures.
The CD includes the “12 Miniatures” for fortepiano by an eminent Azerbaijani composer Fikret Amirov as well as “Davidsbündlertänze” Robert Schumann by a prominent figure in German music. All works are performed by Gulchin Aslanova-Lutz.
