Within the framework of the support and projects of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora, a weekend school under the "Education and Youth Union" operating in Bolnisi of the Kvemo Kartli region, was opened.

The weekend school, opened in the village of Kvemo Bolnisi, Geogia, was intended for our compatriots living in the region. The purpose of the weekend school is to spark interest in our history, culture, and arts among Azerbaijani children, to help them grow into their true identities, and to preserve and promote the Azerbaijani language.

The Azerbaijani language teacher of the school Chingizkhan Yagubov stated that the village of Kapanakchi has given prominent figures to Azerbaijani science and culture till today. He emphasized that they are interested in continuing this tradition.

It should be noted that, weekend schools have started operating in various regions of Georgia, in recent years.
