The magic of Azerbaijani music enchanted Estonia

As a part of the Days of Azerbaijani Culture, the concert titled “Ashiq and Mugham” dedicated to the 140th anniversary of eminent Azerbaijani composer and musician Uzeyir Hajibeyli, was held at the “Mere Culture Center” located in the heart of Tallinn, capital of Estonia.
The event was organized with the support of the State Committee on Work with the Diaspora of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and coordinated by “Buta Art Studio” Azerbaijan Cultural Centre.
The event was attended by Associate Professor of the Azerbaijan National Conservatory, and PhD in Art Studies Mubariz Aliyev, along with representatives of the Parliament of Estonia, and Ministry of Culture, Integration Fund, members of diplomatic corps, local artists, and residents.
Performers, including tar player Asim Pirimov, kamancha master Huseyn Naghiyev, and khanende (singer) Revana Veliyeva, enchanted the audience with the captivating sounds of Azerbaijani mugham, while ashig Mubariz Aliyev touched hearts with his magical saz performance. Folk songs, mugham excerpts, and ashig music were met with long-lasting applause.
A highlight of the evening was the performance by Tallinn’s renowned dance group Gracia, who performed to the melody of "Sari Gelin."
Guests emphasized the importance of regular cultural events, noting that Azerbaijani music and dance resonate deeply with Estonian audiences. The evening was hailed as a celebration of art and a bridge for cultural between nations.
