The gathering of the Coordination Council of Azerbaijanis living in Arab Countries held

The meeting of the Coordination Council of Azerbaijanis living in Arab countries was held in Riyadh, the capital of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The meeting was attended by Fuad Muradov, chairman of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora and Shahin Abdullayev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The Committee Chairman reminded the President Ilham Aliyev’s recommendation regarding the organization of the diaspora, and emphasized the significance of the creating a unified diaspora network of Azerbaijanis around the world and ensuring coordinated activities. He noted that the Coordination Councils established recently, have played a coordinating role among communities and have acted as guarantors of more systematic and effective diaspora activities.
The newly elected coordinators from the member countries of the Coordination Council of Azerbaijanis Living in Arab Countries spoke and expressed their gratitude for the trust placed in them. They also praised the existence of such a format as a commendable development for coordinated activities.
At the gathering attended by coordinators from the United Arab Emirates, the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Sultanate of Oman, the State of Qatar, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the State of Kuwait, proposals regarding the possibilities for coordinated activities of Azerbaijanis living in Arab countries were heard and discussions were held.
