2 August, 2024The carpet exhibition has been held at the official opening ceremony of "Youth for a Green World" 5th Summer Camp of Diaspora Youth in Lachin.
The exhibition, organized by the National Carpet Museum, featured ancient and modern carpets woven in the carpet-weaving schools of Quba, Shirvan, Ganja, Gazakh, Karabakh, and Baku, especially those from Lachin.
The participants of the camp have been provided with detailed information about the Azerbaijani carpet weaving art, which has a special place in the national cultural history of the Azerbaijani people and has an ancient history. The carpet exhibition, showcasing the rich national and cultural heritage of our country, has attracted the great interest of young people.
The scientific secretary of the Azerbaijan National Carpet Museum, Doctor of Philosophy in Art Studies, Honored Culture Worker Khadija Asadova, and the organizer of the exhibition, head of the Exhibitions Department of the Azerbaijan National Carpet Museum, member of the Union of Azerbaijan Artists, originally from Lachin Elnara Rasulova noted that the purpose of organizing the exhibition is to promote the value and ancient history of carpet weaving to diaspora youth and to inform them about Azerbaijani carpets.
