The Ambassador of Hungary to Azerbaijan visited the State Committee

Fuad Muradov, the Chairman of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora of the Republic of Azerbaijan, met Tamash Yojef Torma, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Hungary to our country.

Committee Chairman spoke about successful diaspora policy led by President Ilham Aliyev, and drew attention to the fact that Hungary will host the upcoming meeting of the heads of institutions responsible for diaspora affairs within the Organization of Turkic States (OTS). He noted that the event will contribute to the deepening of relations between the participating countries and creating new cooperation formats.

The guests were provided detailed information about Azerbaijan Houses abroad, weekend schools, multifaceted projects such as Coordination Councils, as well as the efforts of Azerbaijani diaspora.

Expressing his gratitude, the Ambassador highlighted the importance of expanding cultural relations between the two countries, adding that Hungary has always supported Azerbaijan's rightful stance. He gave information about the Hungarian communities abroad, the guest also stated that cooperation between our countries is successfully continuing in various fields, including diaspora activities, and expressed hope that it will further strengthen in the future.

The meeting highlighted the importance of strengthening relations between Azerbaijani and Hungarian diaspora organizations, promoting cultural and humanitarian projects, increasing exchange programs, especially for young people, and implementing joint projects.

In addition, the visits of the participants of the 2nd “INTERNSHIP” program for officials of the diaspora institutions from the member and observer states of the Organization of Turkic States, to our country, including to Karabakh, were also emphasized.

Tamash Yojef Torma expressed his love for the Azerbaijani language and his desire to learn it. The Ambassador was presented a book titled “Azerbaijani language”, and a book “A grammar of contemporary Azerbaijani”, published for our compatriots abroad who are eager to learn the Azerbaijani language.

The meeting concluded with an exchange of views on the prospects for mutual cooperation.
