7 October, 2024The concert of Azerbaijani musician Farhad Khudiyev, living in the USA was held at Texas university. Under Khudiyev's direction, the university's symphony orchestra took center stage, showcasing a medley of selected excerpts from the ballet "Seven Beauties" by the illustrious Azerbaijani composer Gara Garayev, alongside pieces by the talented Donald Grantham and the legendary Igor Stravinsky during the concert.
Farhad Khudiyev took the bull by the horns, conducting orchestras in Connecticut during the 2010-2011 season and in New Jersey the following year, 2011-2012. Khudiyev currently teaches conducting at Texas University and also works as the music director of the university's symphony orchestra. He has performed with orchestras from all around the globe and was honored with the "Beethoven 25" gold prize.
It should be noted that on April 12, 2024, a concert titled “Music bridge: USA – Azerbaijan” was held at the Muslim Magomayev Azerbaijan State Academic Philharmonic. The concert featured the Azerbaijan State Symphony Orchestra named after Uzeyir Hajibeyli, conducted by Farhad Khudiyev.
