3 April, 2026
“Agenda Nexus” analytical portal has published an article about Azerbaijan’s increasing role in Europe’s energy supply.
The article discussed that the increasing instability in global energy markets and the rising risks along major supply routes have compelled Europe to seek alternative energy sources and new transportation routes. Under these circumstances, Azerbaijan’s key role as both a reliable energy supplier and a major transit hub has been underscored.
It was also underscored that Azerbaijan conducted a balanced foreign policy under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev. The country strengthens its strategic relations with Israel, and steadily expands the cooperation between Europe and the United States.
The article also highlights that in addition to exporting gas to Europe via the Southern Gas Corridor, Azerbaijan is developing its infrastructure in the fields of electricity, green energy, and hydrogen. It noted that Azerbaijan’s geographical position and the rich energy resources of the Caspian Sea will enable it to remain a reliable partner in the long term.
The portal also touched on the significance of the Zangazur Corridor for the expansion of regional trade. It particularly noted that the project will strengthen connections in the transportation and energy sectors and reduce reliance on unstable routes.
