The Chairman of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora Fuad Muradov met with our well-known compatriots, doctor-cardiologist Bahar Yusifzadeh and choreographer, Honored artist Mais Nuriyev.

During the meeting with Bahar Yusifzadeh, a former coordinator of the Coordination Council of Azerbaijanis in Italy for Milan, she was awarded the medal "For Services in Diaspora Activities” of the Republic of Azerbaijan. During the pandemic, Bahar Yusifzadeh’s care for our compatriots living in Italy and her overall role in promoting Azerbaijan have been highly appreciated, and she has been wished success. Bahar Yusifzadeh expressed deep gratitude to the Azerbaijan state for the high recognition of his work.

Additionally, Fuad Muradov visited Honored artist Mais Nuriyev, live in Legnano, the president of Association of Azerbaijani Culture “Azeri”, choreographer, professor of “Aida” and “Orizon” Dance Academy and Milan Conservatory at his home. The significant contributions of prominent choreographer Mais Nuriyev and his spouse Nazakat Nuriyeva in promoting Azerbaijani culture internationally and expanding diaspora activities in Italy were highlighted. The future plans of the Association of Azerbaijani Culture “Azeri” were discussed.

Both of our compatriots emphasized that Azerbaijanis living abroad had always supported President Ilham Aliyev's policies. It has also expressed confidence in the further development of bilateral relations between Italy and Azerbaijan, as well as the advancement of our diaspora.
