Fuad Muradov, chairman of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora, met with Irada Shamilova, vice-president of Alberta Azerbaijani Cultural Society (ALACS) operating in Calgary, Canada, and her husband Alexander Gubsky.

The Committee Chairman highly appreciated the works done by ALACS in the direction of gathering together our compatriots in Canada, strengthening friendly relations among them, promoting Azerbaijani culture. The chairman also got interested in the projects planned for the further expansion of the activities of the diaspora organization.

Underling that they have been to cultural capital of Azerbaijan within the framework of the project "We are in Shusha thanks to power of an iron fist", the guests expressed their gratitude to the Committee for organizational support.  They mentioned that they had been impressed by the magnificent nature and hospitality of our people in Shusha and other regions.

Alexander Gubsky, a professional photographer, has noted that the photos taken during this trip will be presented at various exhibitions and festivals to be held abroad.

The Committee chairman and guests had a brief exchange of views on the future plans of ALACS.

It is worth mentioning that "Azeri Calgary Stars" dance group operates under the Alberta Azerbaijani Cultural Society.
