A meeting of businesswomen entitled “The road of success” was held at the “Alliance” Youth Centre which operates in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, with the support of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the occasion of March 8 - International Women’s Day.

The event was attended by responsible employees of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora and the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Georgia, as well as Azerbaijani women who have achieved success in various fields in that country.

Leyla Amrahova, chairwoman of the “Alliance” Youth Centre, said that the main aim of the event was to emphasize the activities of successful women, present their achievements to the general public, and create a platform for mutual exchange of views.

During the meeting, women working in medicine, culture, sports, cosmetology, psychology, education and other fields, shared their success stories. Additionally, discussions were held on the role of women in public and professional life.

Embassy Counsellor Samir Abdurahimov expressed his pride in the activities of our female compatriots who have achieved success in various fields in Georgia.

Deputy Head of the Department of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora Shafag Binnatova informed about support provided by the institution to our compatriots living abroad and noted that the achievements of Azerbaijani women in Georgia are highly appreciated.
