Germany hosted the concert dedicated to the Azerbaijani music

Concert dedicated to the Azerbaijani music was held in Monchengladbach, Germany. The concert was organized as part of the "Multicultural Nostalgia Evening" project, initiated by Vusala Jabir, a well-known vocalist, a soloist of the Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre.

The "Multicultural nostalgia evening" project has been ongoing for several years now. The aim of the project is to unite different nations through music, promote Azerbaijani music internationally, and spread it worldwide.

In the first part of the concert, "Konul Dostlari" choir group performed the "Shabu-Hicran" choir scene from Uzeyir Hajibeyli's opera “Leyli and Majnun”, Qulu Asgarov's romance “Gəlmədin yar”, the folk song “Bu qala daşlı qala”, and various Turkish folk music pieces.

In the second part of the concert, Vusala Jabir with the accompaniment of pianist Sabina Mammadova and the "Gala" group, performed the works by Fikrat Amirov, Said Rustamov, German composer Theo Macbeth and Italian composer Vincenzo Di Chiara. The pieces of music were presented in various languages and genres and was met with great interest.

The event was attended by Azerbaijani diasporas from Germany, France, the Netherlands, as well as the representatives of other peoples who have friendly attitude to Azerbaijan. In her speech, Mayisa Aghamirzayeva, chairwoman of the “Ana Vatan” European Azerbaijani Women's Union, highly appreciated Vusala Jabir's invaluable services in promoting Azerbaijani music in Europe and presented her with an Honorary Certificate.

Currently continuing her activities in Germany, Vusala Jabir works as a choir director, voice teacher, and soloist at the "Konul Dostlari" Cultural Association. She became known as a laureate of the Mugham Competition in 2005.
