Fuad Muradov met with the Azerbaijani community in Belgium

Fuad Muradov, the Chairman of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora of the Republic of Azerbaijan, met with the Azerbaijani community.

The gathering, held at the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Kingdom of Belgium and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, began with the playing of the National Anthem of Azerbaijan, followed by commemorating the dear memory of our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the integrity and sovereignty of our country.

“Under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, our targeted and successful diaspora policy is reflected in the activities of Azerbaijani communities abroad,” Muradov said in his remarks. He noted that following the historic victory, Azerbaijanis abroad have become highly active and effective in the information war, diplomatic initiatives, and lobbying efforts.

Azerbaijanis were provided information in detail about the systematically implemented projects designed to unite Azerbaijanis worldwide.

Vagif Sadigov, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Kingdom of Belgium and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, highly appreciated the meeting with Azerbaijani community, as well as the activities of Azerbaijani diaspora.

Representatives of the “Fireland” Azerbaijani Community Association, the Belgium Azerbaijan Federation (BAF), “MADANI – Cultural, Sports, Thought, Solidarity and Future Opportunities Platform for Azerbaijanis,” Radio Octo, the BUTAM Azerbaijani Cultural Association, and the Irs-Azerbaijan Belgium Student Association reported on their activities and shared suggestions. They emphasized that, by coming together on modern platforms, they have created a stronger, more productive, and more effective environment for unity, and expressed growing interest in such meetings.

Participants’ questions were answered.

Ayhan Demirchi, Chair of the Belgium–Azerbaijan Friendship Society, was awarded the “For Service in Diaspora Activities” medal of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

A coordinator for Belgium was elected for the Netherlands–Belgium Azerbaijani Coordination Council.

In the artistic segment, Azerbaijani children and youth performed national music and dances, receiving continuous applause.
