The Azerbaijani scientist was included in the world’s top 2% of Scientists List

Fakhri Hasanov, an Azerbaijani scientist, senior researcher of King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Center (KAPSARC) is named in the world’s top 2% of Scientists List.

The list, compiled together with the US Stanford University and Elsevier, one of the famous scientific research databases, includes more than 200,000 scientists across the world. This evaluation is carried out for a specific year and the entire activity period of the scientist-researchers. Fakhri Hasanov was included in this list according to his achievements gained in 2022.

The certificates were presented to Fakhri Hasanov and other accomplished experts at the meeting held in  the King Abdullah Oil Studies and Research Center. Prince Abdul Aziz bin Salman Al-Saud, Minister of Energy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the center, and the employees attended the meeting.

It should be noted that Fakhri Hasanov was born on April 7, 1979 in Lachin district of Azerbaijan. He graduated from Azerbaijan State University of Economics and George Washington University.  He holds a Ph.D. in Economics. Fakhri Hasanov is an author of about 100 scientific articles and one of the editors of "Frontiers in Environmental Science" magazine. He has been living in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia since 2014. He is one of the main founders of the KAPSARC Global Energy Macroeconometric Model (KGEMM) and has been leading this model project since 2015.
