The 12th visit to our cultural capital Shusha of the Diaspora representative, who prefer to spend their holiday in Azerbaijan has taken place. Supported by the State Committee on Work with Diaspora the visit was realized for the twelfth time under the project "We are in Shusha with the power of an iron fist" with around 140 diaspora representatives from 27 countries participating.

During the visit Jidir Plain, the Vagif’s mausoleum, the Lower and Upper Govhar Agha mosques, Ganja Gate, the square where the "Bulleted statues" are placed and other sights were visited. The representatives were given detailed information about reconstruction, renovation and restoration works carried out in Shusha, the pearl of Karabakh.

Diaspora representatives unfurled the Azerbaijani Flag under the sounds of the National Anthem on the Jidir plain and chanted the slogan "Karabakh is Azerbaijan!" In front of Ganja Gate, the cherished memory of our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of our country have been commemorated with deep respect. They expressed their gratitude to Victorious Commander-in-chief and the Azerbaijan Army for this happiness bestowed upon the nation.

It should be noted that President Ilham Aliyev, in his recommendations at the V Congress of World Azerbaijanis, emphasized the importance of our compatriots living abroad visiting their historical homeland, especially the liberated territories, every year.

The visits organized under the slogan "We are in Shusha with the power of the iron fist" by the Committee are among the most significant events in the history of the Azerbaijani diaspora.

Additionally, the Committee regularly organizes visits of foreign journalists and scientists, who play a significant role in informing the international community, to Shusha and other regions liberated from occupation.
