A branch of the Azerbaijan Cultural and Educational Center, established in Bishkek with the initiative of the “Birlik” Public Union operating in the Kyrgyz Republic, and with the support of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora, was opened in Chui region

The newly opened branch in the village of Leninsk will provide children with the opportunity to learn the Azerbaijani language and explore the country’s history, culture, and traditions. They will also take part in various events to actively engage with these themes.

It should be noted that the Azerbaijan Cultural and Educational Center started began to operate in December, 2022. It serves not only Azerbaijani children but also Kyrgyz and other people’s children. Chuy region is one of the regions that was subjected to repression during the Soviet period between 1934 and 1937, and currently, it is one of the regions in Kyrgyzstan where 6,500 Azerbaijanis live compactly.
