Fuad Muradov, Chairman of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora, received Eldar Tagiyev, a member of the Board of Directors of the Ukrainian Azerbaijanis’ Council, and a leader of Azerbaijan’s diaspora organisation in Dnipro, Ukraine.

Committee Chairman emphasized that President Ilham Aliyev and First vice-president Mehriban Aliyeva paid attention and care to the Azerbaijani community abroad, as well as our compatriots. He highly appreciated the Azerbaijanis’ close integration into the local community, their initiatives on promoting Azerbaijani realities abroad, rich cultural heritage and recognition of our culture. He noted a pivotal role of diaspora on development of mutual relations between countries, shared his recommendations regarding future activities.

Afterwards, Eldar Tagiyev was presented the medal “For Service in Diaspora Activity” of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Our compatriot expressed his deep gratitude to the Azerbaijani state for the high appreciation given to his activities. He emphasized that he would continue his efforts to further develop bilateral relations between the countries and to make the activities of our diaspora more organized in the future.

It should be noted that Eldar Tagiyev actively participated in the establishment of the Ukrainian Azerbaijanis’ Council.
