Within the framework of their visit to Azerbaijan, the leaders and activists of our diaspora operating in Kazakhstan, along with representatives of the fraternal nation, visited the Alley of Honor. Here, National leader of our people, the founder of the modern, independent Azerbaijani state, Heydar Aliyev’s memory was commemorated with deep respect, a wreath was laid on behalf of the Azerbaijani diaspora in Kazakhstan at his monument and placed flowers.

Following this, the delegation visited the Alley of Martyrs to honor the memory of the heroic sons of the Motherland who sacrificed their lives for the freedom and sovereignty of our country. They laid fresh flowers on their graves. The delegation also visited the graves of Azerbaijan’s National Heroes - Major-general Polad Hashimov, Colonel Ilgar Mirzayev, Warrant officer Mubariz Ibrahimov and other heroic martyrs who gave their lives for their homeland, as well as Yerbol Barimbekov’s grave, a hero of Kazakhstan who was martyred in I Karabagh War.

During the visit, Vagif Seyidbayov, the deputy chairman of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora of the Azerbaijan Republic accompanied the delegation.

It should be noted that in accordance with the slogan " Following the footsteps of Presidents!", the delegation is also scheduled to visit the liberated cities of Fuzuli and Shusha.  They will visit the Kurmangazy Children's Creative Center, built with the support of Kazakhstan in Fuzuli, inaugurated by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kasim-Jomart Tokayev.
