The visit of diaspora representatives living abroad and currently in the homeland visited Khankendi and Shusha.

The thirteenth visit, realized under the project "We are in Shusha with the power of an iron fist" with 50 diaspora representatives from 16 countries around the world participating took place with the support and organization of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora.

Firstly, the visitors arrived in Khankendi. They observed a minute’s silence in memory of the martyrs who gave their lives for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan on the occasion of the fourth anniversary of the Day of Remembrance in front of the administrative building in Khankendi.

Expressing their gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev, the Victorious Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, and the Azerbaijani army for the liberation of their homeland, the compatriots paid tribute to the fallen martyrs and wished good health to the veterans.

Subsequently, the diaspora representatives proceeded to the cultural capital of Azerbaijan, Shusha. they visited the Jidir Duzu plain, the Mausoleum of Molla Panah Vagif, the Yukhari Govhar Agha Mosque, the Ganja Fortress Gates and other landmarks. The participants unfurled the Azerbaijani flag at Jidir Duzu and chanted: "Karabakh is Azerbaijan!". Our compatriot Samad Purmusavi’s live music performance aroused a great interest of vistors.

Our compatriots, who are closely familiar with the reconstruction and improvement works in Khankendi and Shusha, expressed their gratitude to the state of Azerbaijan for the regular organization of such visits.

It is noteworthy that the committee frequently arranges visits to Shusha and other liberated territories for compatriots, foreign journalists, and scholars, who play a crucial role in informing the international community.
