A solemn event titled “Our Victory in the world,” dedicated to the fifth anniversary of our historic triumph in Karabakh, was held at the administrative building of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The event was attended by the committee’s leadership, employees, representatives of the public and media, families of martyrs, and representatives of the diaspora.
The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played, and the cherished memory of the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of our country was honored with a minute of silence.
The first speech at the event was given to Nigar Aliyeva, daughter of the martyred Lieutenant Colonel Anar Aliyev. She expressed the pride she feels on the 5th anniversary of our Victory and noted that her father’s soul is at peace.
“The victory achieved in Karabakh by the glorious Azerbaijani Army under the leadership of the Victorious Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev is the brightest triumph in our history. Our Victory has become a source of pride for Azerbaijanis around the world, inspiring them to unite even more closely and to act with greater determination in conveying our just cause to the international community,” said Fuad Muradov, Chairman of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora. He spoke about the activities of Azerbaijani communities abroad during the war and the post-war period. It was noted that dozens of events and large-scale campaigns are being held abroad on the 5th anniversary of our Victory, and the activities of the diaspora are in line with our state’s political course.
In his remark, Rafael Huseynov, Deputy Speaker of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan, public figure, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor, and Full Member of ANAS, described the victory achieved in the Patriotic War as a celebration of our nation’s moral strength and the restoration of historical justice.

They described Victory Day as a symbol of our unity and the solidarity between the state and the people. The speakers also highlighted the exemplary role of the families of martyrs and war veterans in our society.
At the event, a video clip titled “Our Victory in the world”, featuring the speeches of the head of state, the activities of Azerbaijani communities abroad during the war and post-war period, and congratulatory messages from prominent diaspora representatives, was screened. In addition, the documentary film “Letter to a Martyr” was also shown.
Within the framework of the event titled “Our Victory in the world”, gifts were presented on behalf of the Azerbaijani diaspora to the children of martyrs, and information was provided regarding the financial assistance offered to the families of martyrs.
