Saadat Shukurova, our compatriot living in Israel, Head of Channel 24, vice-president of the AzIz, head of the Dona Gracia Center for Diplomacy continues to promote our country on the international arena. The documentary “The Great Leader and the Jews” made under the direction of Saadat Shukurova on the occasion of Heydar Aliyev’s 100th anniversary.

The film was shot with the support of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The film tells about Heydar Aliyev’s role in the establishment of friendly and strategic ties between Azerbaijan and Israel, as well as the Great Leader's multiculturalism and tolerance policy as one of the main criteria in shaping the modern Azerbaijani state, and showing respect for Jews as well as for all peoples settled in the territory of Azerbaijan.

The documentary, as the best example of Muslim-Jewish friendship, was broadcast on Israeli press websites and social platforms, and was presented to the audience in 3 languages - Azerbaijani, English and Hebrew.

It should be noted that Saadat Shukurova was awarded the medal “For service in Diaspora activity” for her contribution to the strengthening of friendly and cultural relations between Israel and Azerbaijan.
