Farida Panahova and Niyazi Hajiyev were awarded a jubilee medal "100th anniversary of Heydar Aliyev (1923-2023)" by Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, Fuzuli Ganbarov and Leyla Masimli were awarded the medal "For Service in Diaspora Activities" of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The medals were presented them at the State Committee on Work with Diaspora.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that Azerbaijani community and compatriots abroad are currently under the special attention of President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-president Mehriban Aliyeva. It was highly appreciated the active integration of our compatriots into the local society, the promotion of the truths about Azerbaijan, and the recognition of our rich cultural heritage and culture. The unique role of the diaspora in the development of mutual relations between countries and recommendations regarding future activities have been conveyed.
Farida Panahova, Niyazi Hajiyev, Fuzuli Ganbarov and Leyla Masimli expressed their deep gratitude to the Government of Azerbaijan for the high appreciation of their activities. Our compatriots mentioned that the Azerbaijani community living abroad closely follows the processes taking place in our country and support the successful domestic and foreign policy of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Victorious Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev. They stated that they would continue to spare no efforts to ensure the more organized functioning of our diaspora, as well as to promote and protect Azerbaijan's national interests.
It should be noted that Farida Panahova is a member of the Coordination Council of Azerbaijanis living in the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, the head of the British Azerbaijan Society, and the founder of the online "Karabakh" school operating under this society. Niyazi Hajiyev is the head of the "Aydan" Estonia-Azerbaijan Cultural Center. Fuzuli Ganbarov is the head of the Poltava Regional Public Organization of the Council of Azerbaijanis of Ukraine. Leyla Masimli is our compatriot living in the Republic of Korea, a diaspora activist, a graduate of INHA University, a researcher in education, and a Doctor of Philosophy.
