Azerbaijan marks December 12 as the Memorial day of Heydar Aliyev, the architect and founder of independent Azerbaijan, an outstanding statesman, the national leader of our people.

On this occasion, Fuad Muradov, the chairman of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora, and the Committee staff paid tribute to the memory of Heydar Aliyev in the Alley of Honor.

Employees of the State Committee visited the grave of the great leader and laid wreaths and flowers.

The grave of prominent ophthalmologist scientist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva was also visited.

It should be noted that Azerbaijani diaspora organizations operating in different countries of the world with the support of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora, held more than 200 events to commomerate dear memory of the great leader Heydar Aliyev.
