Participants of the 5th Summer Camp of Diaspora Youth have visited Karabagh University in Khankendi
5 August, 2024The participants of the 5th Summer Camp held in Lachin have visited the city of Khankendi. The young people, who became acquainted with various parts of the city, were provided with detailed information about Khankendi.
Subsequently the participants have left for Karabagh University, have met with Shahin Bayramov, the rector of this university. Greeting the guests, the rector has emphasized that the participants of the camp has become the first guests of Karabagh University, has given detailed information about the history of the building where the educational institution is located, its modern infrastructure, future plans and projects, as well as the faculties and specialties to be taught at the university.
The rector has stated that the university will start operating for the first time in the new academic year, and that more than 1,000 students are expected to be admitted to the university for the 2024-2025 academic year in 6 faculties and 27 majors. He has highlighted that the number of faculties and specialties will increase, and students will also be admitted to the master's and doctoral levels in addition to bachelor's education. Shahin Bayramov informed the youth that one of the main goals is to transform this university, bearing the name of Karabakh, into one of the most modern educational institutions representing Azerbaijani higher education worldwide.
The rector has also announced his expectations from the diaspora youth, expressing hope that they will support the recognition of Karabakh University in the world and the involvement of foreign students in the coming years.
