The visit of the prominent representatives of Moroccan media outlets to our country is ongoing at the invitation of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora of the Republic of Azerbaijan. They became acquainted with the city of Baku and held several official meetings. The guests met with Deputy Chairman Elshad Aliyev at the State Committee on Work with Diaspora.

The Deputy Chairman provided detailed information about the main directions of diaspora policy under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev and the activities carried out by the Committee. He stated that currently, connections with Azerbaijanis exist in more than 70 countries, and Coordination Councils have been established to organize diaspora activities in a coordinated manner. Additionally, 31 Azerbaijan Houses are operating in 20 countries. The Deputy Chairman also mentioned that following the glorious victory in the 44-day Patriotic War, our country has entered a new phase of development, with large-scale reconstruction work being carried out in the liberated territories. He emphasized the special importance of journalists’ professional and principled stance in objectively conveying this significant process to the world community and in preventing attempts of disinformation against our country. To this end, the Committee has so far organized visits of more than 1,000 foreign journalists, historians, political scientists, and lawyers to our country, including to Karabakh and the surrounding regions.

The guests thanked the Committee for organizing the visit and the warm reception, and expressed their satisfaction with being in our country. They said that the discussions held on information exchange and experience sharing will provide valuable contributions to their future activities and further expand the prospects for cooperation.

They emphasized that this visit will contribute to enhancing mutual understanding between the two parties and to the implementation of new projects and initiatives. They noted that they closely follow our country’s achievements in social, economic, and cultural fields and that applying the experience gained here would be beneficial in their own countries.
