The prestigious Mexican magazine “Mundo Internacional” has published an article highlighting Azerbaijan's state diaspora policy. The publication features an interview with Chairman of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Fuad Muradov, conducted by the magazine's Editor-in-Chief, Carmen Mihalasku.

The interview covered the large-scale reconstruction and restoration efforts being carried out in the Karabakh and East Zangezur economic regions under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev. It emphasized that Azerbaijan is the main guarantor of lasting peace, stability, and security in the region.

The Chairman also outlined the Committee's efforts to preserve the national and cultural identity of Azerbaijanis living abroad, unite them around a common diaspora platform, and promote the truth about Azerbaijan within the international community. He highlighted the achievements of Azerbaijani diaspora organizations operating in more than 70 countries worldwide and noted the significant role played by Coordination Councils, Azerbaijan Houses, and Azerbaijani Weekend Schools in strengthening the Azerbaijani diaspora.

In addition, Fuad Muradov spoke extensively about the objectives of his visit to Mexico, emphasizing the importance of the meetings held and sharing his views on the future development of Azerbaijan–Mexico relations. Referring to the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the State Committee on Work with Diaspora of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Institute for Mexicans Abroad under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Mexican States, he stressed that the document would contribute to further strengthening bilateral cooperation in the field of diaspora affairs and create new opportunities for collaboration.

It should be noted that “Mundo Internacional” enjoys a wide readership not only among the Mexican public but also among government officials, members of parliament, the academic community, and representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in the country.
