Meeting held with the governor of Kars, the mayor, and leaders of diaspora organizations

The Chairman of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora, Fuad Muradov, who is on an official visit to Türkiye, held several meetings in Kars.

Greeting the Chairman with warmth, the Governor of Kars, Ziya Polat, expressed his satisfaction with the high-level relations between Türkiye and Azerbaijan, emphasized the intensity of these ties contributes to the development of relations between the two brotherly countries.

Expressing gratitude for the warm reception, the Chairman provided detailed information about the committee's activities, drew attention the unshakable friendship between Türkiye and Azerbaijan and noted Azerbaijanis living in Türkiye feel themselves at homeland.

A broad exchange of views was held regarding the activities of Azerbaijanis living in Kars, and the prospects of strengthening relations were discussed.

The next meeting of the Chairman was with the Mayor of Kars, Prof. Dr. Ötüken Senger. The mayor reflected on the history of relations between Azerbaijan and Türkiye, shared thoughts on the common past, language, culture, and other unifying aspects, and highlighted the contributions of Azerbaijanis living in Türkiye through their knowledge and skills. Discussions were held on mutual points of interest and opportunities for future cooperation.

As part of the visit to Kars, the Chairman of the State Committee also visited the Consulate General of Azerbaijan in Kars and met with Consul General Zamin Aliyev, as well as leaders and members of Azerbaijan's diaspora organizations active in the region. During the meeting, information was shared about the committee's activities and projects, and recommendations were conveyed regarding the future work of the diaspora organizations in Kars.

Expressing their gratitude for the meeting, the leaders of the diaspora organizations thanked the Azerbaijani state for its support and shared their thoughts on their plans for future activities.
