Fuad Muradov, Chairman of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora of the Republic of Azerbaijan met with the Azerbaijani community in Budapest, the capital of Hungary.

The meeting began with playing the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan and a moment of respectful remembrance for the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the freedom and territorial integrity of the Motherland.

In her speech, Esmira Jafarova, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Hungary highlighted the high level of Azerbaijan–Hungary relations and drew attention to the growing bilateral cooperation across various fields. She highly appreciated the efforts of the diaspora, in further strengthening ties between the two countries.

Following this, Ibrahim Safarli, Head of the Budapest Azerbaijan House, presented a report. He provided detailed information on the Azerbaijan House’s multifaceted activities aimed at strengthening solidarity within the Azerbaijani community and fostering relations with the local society. He also spoke about future projects and strategic objectives, expressing gratitude to the Azerbaijani state for its continued support of the Azerbaijan House.

“The diaspora policy implemented under the leadership of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev makes a significant contribution to uniting Azerbaijanis around the world more closely, building networks, and strengthening solidarity around national interests,” said Fuad Muradov, Chairman of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora, during his speech. He noted that our compatriots living abroad play a special role in informing the international community about the realities of Azerbaijan, our country’s achievements, and the large-scale reconstruction work being carried out in our liberated territories. The Chairman also spoke about the projects implemented by the Committee and the results achieved.

At the end of the meeting, community members’ questions were answered, an exchange of views took place, and various proposals and initiatives were discussed.
