The Khojaly Genocide is forever engraved in the memory of every Azerbaijani. On the 34th anniversary of the terrible massacre that happened at the end of the 20th century, the staff of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora, and members of diaspora visited the “Mother's Cry” memorial.

Flowers were laid at the monument, and the dear memory of the victims of Khojaly tragedy was commemorated with deep respect.

It should be noted that Azerbaijani communities and diaspora activists around the world organize more than 80 commemorative events on the occasion of the 34th anniversary of the Khojaly genocide.

It should be recalled that under the leadership of President and Victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, the valiant Azerbaijani Army first achieved victory in the Patriotic War and later carried out successful anti-terror operations, restoring our state sovereignty and liberated our historical lands, including Khojaly, from separatists. On October 15, 2023, President Ilham Aliyev raised the Azerbaijani National Flag in Khojaly. Those responsible for the Khojaly genocide, the criminals whose hands are stained with the blood of the Azerbaijani people, receive their just punishment. Today, our tricolour flag proudly waves in Khojaly, our lands, devastated by the enemy, are being rebuilt, and internally displaced persons are returning to their homes.
