Iğdır hosted meeting with Azerbaijani community

The Chairman of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora, Fuad Muradov met with the Azerbaijani community living in Iğdır, Turkey. State Anthems of Azerbaijan and Turkey were played at the meeting, held in Iğdır Azerbaijani House.

The Committee Chairman gave detailed information about diaspora policy of our country. He spoke about long-term projects carried out by the committee, Azerbaijani Houses abroad, Coordination Councils, weekend schools, the 5th Victory Congress of World Azerbaijanis held in Shusha and other important directions of the diaspora activity, and expressed his gratitude for their contribution to diaspora work.

It was noted that the diaspora policy, founded by the National Leader, is being further enriched and elevated to a new level today under President Ilham Aliyev, and that every Azerbaijani living abroad remains under the attention of the state.

Consul General of Azerbaijan in Kars Zamin Aliyev highly appreciated the meeting organized with the community and expressed satisfaction with the close acquaintance with compatriots. He emphasized that the consulate's doors are accessible to all Azerbaijani individuals.

The head of the House of Azerbaijan in Igdir, Ziya Zakir Acar, delivered a report on the activities of the house, highlighting that it has become a cherished place for both compatriots and the local community. He expressed gratitude to the Azerbaijani state for the opportunities created and the attention shown.

The meeting continued with an exchange of ideas and responses to inquiries. Azerbaijanis living in Iğdır shared their achievements, expanded opportunities for community activities and also voiced their concerns and difficulties. They expressed gratitude for the open and sincere discussions.
