Letter regarding Khojaly genocide was addressed to UK Members of Parliament and Foreign Office

A letter regarding the 33rd anniversary of the Khojaly genocide was addressed to the 650 members of UK Parliament and Foreign Office with the initiative of Farida Panahova, the head of the Britain Azerbaijanis Community (BAC) operating in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
The letter provided in detail about the crime of genocide, occurred in Khojaly on the night of February 25–26, 1992, called on the international community and the Britain parliament for recognizing this genocide and ensuring the justice. It was highlighted that the Khojaly genocide is one of the most terrible and tragic massacres in the history. In the result of this massacre, the Armenian armed forces brutally killed 613 Azerbaijanis, including 106 women, 63 children, and 70 elderly people. 1,275 Azerbaijanis were taken hostage, the fate of 150 people remains unknown. Eyewitness testimonies, international reports, and independent investigations have attested that the Khojaly tragedy is the worst crime in the history of mankind. The Britain Azerbaijanis Community has called international community, especially Parliament of UK for recognition of Khojaly and declaration of February 26 as a Remembrance Day of Khojaly.
It was stated that BAC would continue its activities to ensure the recognition of the Khojaly genocide and further promote Azerbaijan’s rightful position in the international arena.
