Famous Azerbaijani vocalist Urfan Jafarov has won a gold medal at the international contest of opera singers -“American International Vocal Competition of Opera Singers 2023” held in New York.

Urfan Jafarov, vocalist of Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre, laureate of local and international contests ranked first among the representatives of 67 countries.

He became the first Azerbaijani to represent our country with a solo performance in Carnegie Hall, one of the most best sounding concert halls of the world.

“The American International Vocal Competition of Opera Singers” is the platform that allows young singers to perform a solo concert on prestigious stages.

Urfan Jafarov also ranked first in   American Protégé International Vocal Competition in 2022.
