Azerbaijani musician will lead the music school in France

The opening ceremony of the "Yamaha" music school was held in Sélestat, France under the leadership of Ilaha Ahui, Azerbaijani composer, vocalist and choir conductor.

Jean Michel Duran, director of the "Yamaha" music school in France, Christian Rose president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Colmar, and other officials participated in the ceremony. The guests congratulated the Azerbaijani musician on the occasion of the opening of the music school and conveyed their good wishes.

It should be noted that, piano and vocal lessons, the works of foreign and local composers will be taught at the music school.

Ilaha Ahui, born in Baku, attended piano classes here and became a choir soloist at an early age. She composed her first song about Baku at the age of twelve. After graduating Western University, Ilaha Ahui  moved to Strasbourg, France in 1999, a year later to Colmar. She is a graduate of choir conducting and vocal class of the National Conservatory of Colmar. At the same time, Ilaha Ahui gives music lessons at the National Conservatory of Colmar.

Besides conducting local choral groups, Ilaha Ahui has worked as a teacher at the "Yamaha" music school in Colmar. Having a long and rich musical career, the Azerbaijani musician decided to establish her own school.

Ilaha Ahui is one of the active members of the Azerbaijani community in France  and promotes our culture in this country.
