Azerbaijani scientist elected as a member of the Academy of Science, Engineering, and Medicine of Florida

Nazim Muradov was elected as a member of the Academy of Science, Engineering and Medicine of Florida - ASEMFL at a ceremonial event held in Orlando, USA. Being awarded this prestigious title is yet another testament to the high appreciation of his many years of invaluable contributions to science, particularly in the field of clean energy.
Nazim Muradov, Ph.D. at the University of Central Florida and a special projects researcher at the Florida Solar Energy Center, is the first Azerbaijani member of the National Academy of Inventors in the USA. The scientist’s achievements are based on hundreds of scientific publications and innovative research reflected in more than 50 U.S. patents. Most of Nazim Muradov’s inventions are widely applied in practice. The new hydrogen sensor technology, developed together with his colleagues at NASA, is successfully being used in the United States’ space programs. This discovery has been recognized by NASA as the best commercial technology of the year and has been awarded the prestigious international “R&D 100” prize. This award is given annually to the 100 best technological innovations and is often called the “Oscars of Invention”.
It should be noted that Nazim Muradov, who ranked among the top positions on the 2024 “Highly Ranked Scholars” list of the world-renowned academic analytics platform ScholarGP, was awarded the “Taraggi” (Progress) medal of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2023. He also participated in the 74th International Astronautical Congress held in Baku.
