An Azerbaijan night in Kecskemét

An Azerbaijani night was held in the city of Kecskemét, Hungary, for to promote our country’s rich cultural heritage, traditions, national cuisine, and music.

The event was organized by the Association for Youth Integration and Development and “Hiros Agora” Centre, with the support of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora”. The event was attended by the guests from Azerbaijan, The United States, Hungary, Türkiye, Italy, France, Latvia and other countries.

Member of the Broad of Directors of the Association for Youth Integration and Development Gular Tagiyeva provided detailed information about Azerbaijan’s geographical position, its significance in the Southern Caucasus, its relations with neighbouring countries and core place in the international arena. She discussed Azerbaijan’s architectural heritage, particularly the capital Baku’s ancient and modern infrastructure, as well as the historical monuments of Icharishahar.

During the event, country’s tourism potential was drawn attention, and the international events hosted by Azerbaijan were discussed. The millennia-old history of mugham was also highlighted.

András Csaba and Monica Santo coordinators on Erasmus projects who participated at the event, recalled their visits to our country. Monica Santo shared her impressions regarding Azerbaijan’s historical cities, enchanting nature, old traditions and Azerbaijan’s hospitable people.

In conclusion, it was emphasized that such events bring together people from different nations and contribute to the development of intercultural dialogue.
