Azerbaijan was represented at the Multicultural festival held in Montreal

Azerbaijan was represented at the Multicultural Festival, held at John Abbott College in Montreal. Shahana and Fidan Abdullazadehs, Azerbaijani students of this college and active members of Azerbaijani Society of Canada in Montreal, launched an Azerbaijani corner within the festival.

Along with souvenirs reflecting the historical monuments of Azerbaijan, samples of our national cultural heritage, as well as dishes and traditional sweets were presented to the participants of the event. The initiative of our compatriots was met with great interest and highly appreciated by the management, teachers and students of the college. Shahana and Fidan informed the participants about the history, geography of Azerbaijan, the meaning of the Kharibulbul symbol, and performed a scene from Uzeyir Hajibeyov's operetta “Arshin Mal Alan”.

It should be noted that the sisters are among our patriotic compatriots and actively participate in the recognition and promotion of our country at various events and festivals held in Montreal.
