The Coordinating Council of Azerbaijanis living in the UK sent a letter of condolence to the King of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, his majesty Charles III and Prime Minister Liz Truss over the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

The letter addressed on behalf of the Azerbaijani community living in the UK stresses that our compatriots are deeply saddened by the death of Queen Elizabeth II: "We join the nation in mourning, offer our deepest condolences to the Royal family, and express our gratitude to Her Majesty for her lifelong service to country and Commonwealth".

It was noted that the world lost a great personality in the demise of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II: "Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II was the embodiment of loyalty to the fulfillment of royal duties from the moment of her birth to the last days of her life. At a very young age - during hard times of the Second World War, she took over the leadership and brought the nation through large-scale changes to the present day.

The letter emphasizes that the Queen's legacy will remain in history: "We are happy to have witnessed the reign of the greatest monarch of modern times. Her Majesty made this world brighter and better. We share your pain of losing an extraordinary person. Her Majesty dedicated her whole life to selfless service to the people. We, along with people across the country and indeed the world, feel her loss. We pay tribute to Her Majesty’s great contribution to the United Kingdom, the Commonwealth and the world. Queen Elizabeth II leaves a significant legacy and her memory will inspire others to serve and lead their country. "Queen Elizabeth II was and will continue to be an example for future generations."

It was noted that the Azerbaijani community respects Her Majesty's heritage and mourns together with the Royal Family, Great Britain and the Commonwealth of Nations: " Our thoughts and prayers are with the Royal Family and the British people at this sad time”.
