The “Diaspora TV” film crew met with our compatriot Sevinj Gurbanova, who lives in Riyadh and works on Saudi Arabia’s NEOM megaproject. She shared her thoughts on the essence of this ambitious initiative and expressed her pride in being part of such a significant development. She emphasized that the NEOM project is not only groundbreaking in terms of technology and infrastructure, but also represents a major innovation in transforming people’s lifestyles.

Sevinj Gurbanova has been living in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the past two years. Since 2021, she has been working as a specialist on the NEOM project. Prior to that, our compatriot worked in the port sector in Dubai and was previously engaged in the oil and gas industry in Azerbaijan.

NEOM is a high-tech smart city project planned to be built in Saudi Arabia. Referred to as the “City of Dreamers,” NEOM aims to reshape urban life by establishing a global hub for innovation, sustainability, and technology. The first phase of NEOM is expected to be completed by 2025, with the goal of creating a fully eco-friendly city powered entirely by innovative and renewable energy sources, distancing itself from traditional forms of investment. It is projected that the new initiative could generate over $500 billion in returns for investors.
