The video conference dedicated to the results of 2024, gathered together the representatives of Azerbaijani Houses, Coordination Councils, weekend schools, Azerbaijani scientists and professors from prestigious universities and scientific centers worldwide, prominent figures representing various fields, as well as cultural and art figures.

A video conference organized by the State Committee on Work with Diaspora was held with the participation of nearly 1,000 compatriots from 85 countries.

In his opening speech, Fuad Muradov, Chairman of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora, provided information on the diaspora policy of the Azerbaijani state and the projects implemented in 2024. He spoke about the successful continuation of a new and important phase in diaspora building and expressed gratitude to compatriots contributing to this field. It was noted that today, Azerbaijanis around the world are united like a fist, taking important steps to further increase the prestige of the country, always standing by Azerbaijan, and supporting the policies of the head of state. The Chairman of the Committee emphasized that the gathering of hundreds of compatriots who represent Azerbaijan with dignity worldwide is a sign of their unwavering support for the state, exemplifying the formation of a strong Azerbaijani diaspora as a reflection of a strong Azerbaijan.

Following the presentation of a short video report on the annual activities of the committee and the Azerbaijani diaspora, a broad and engaging exchange of ideas regarding the year's results was taken place, results were analyzed in detail.

Compatriots discussed the countless successes achieved last year, praised the work done to ensure unity and solidarity, the creation of flexible mechanisms for diaspora development, and the projects implemented. They also expressed proposals regarding the prospects of multi-faceted approaches to diaspora activities.

Speakers highlighted the increasingly systematic approach being formed year by year in conveying national interests to the world's attention. They viewed the video conference, which has become a tradition, as a powerful political platform forming a modern conceptual approach to the Diaspora.

Throughout the conference, performances by Azerbaijani musicians living abroad were showcased, along with videos prepared by community members, Azerbaijani Houses, and the collectives of the weekend school. Every performance and video were aroused a great interest of participants and was met with prolonged applause.

During the video conference, a group of compatriots who made significant contributions to the activities of the Azerbaijani diaspora were awarded the medal      "For Service in Diaspora Activity" of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Conference participants expressed their gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva for their sensitive attitude and care for the world's Azerbaijanis. They declared their commitment to sharing in Azerbaijan's joys and sorrows at all times.
