A roundtable on “Peace, Labor, and Friendship of Peoples” held in Kyrgyzstan

A roundtable discussion titled “Peace, Labor, and Friendship of Peoples” was held in Bishkek, the capital of the Kyrgyz Republic, organized by the Ministry of Labor, Social Security, and Migration of the Kyrgyz Republic. Representatives of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora of the Republic of Azerbaijan also participated in the event.
The roundtable took place within the framework of the Action Plan related to the chairmanship of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in 2025, led by President Sadyr Japarov. The event gathered representatives from OTS member states and focused on topics related to diaspora, labor, and migration, with particular emphasis on enhancing cooperation.
Welcoming the participants, the Minister of Labor, Social Security, and Migration of the Kyrgyz Republic, Ravshanbek Sabirov, stated that the theme “Peace, Labor, and Friendship of Peoples” reflects the profound spiritual and historical ties among Turkic nations. The Minister emphasized that this concept extends beyond common origins and language, encompassing centuries-old values and a strong sense of brotherhood.
Speaking at the event, Shafag Binnatova, a representative of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora, noted that in recent years, relations between Azerbaijan and OTS member countries have rapidly developed, creating broad opportunities for closer and more systematic cooperation in the field of diaspora affairs. She also provided information about the projects implemented by the Committee within the framework of cooperation with the OTS and highlighted the positive role of such events in strengthening collaboration among partner institutions.
During the roundtable, speeches were delivered by Ali Chiviler, the First Secretary of the OTS, as well as representatives from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Türkiye, and Kyrgyzstan, who shared insights into their ongoing activities and projects.
The roundtable identified the deepening of ties among diaspora organizations, the promotion of coordinated action, and the continuous expansion of cooperation as key goals.
Later, the Azerbaijani delegation visited the Azerbaijan Cultural and Educational Center in Bishkek. They were informed about the classes and cultural activities conducted at the center, as well as its role in promoting the Azerbaijani language and culture. The delegation also exchanged views on the center’s educational programs and its cooperation with the local community.
As part of the visit, the delegation toured the Kyrgyzstan–Azerbaijan Friendship Park. Opened on October 11, 2022, the park symbolizes the friendship and cooperation between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan. The opening ceremony was attended by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, and the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov.
