The Chairman of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora Fuad Muradov accepted Natig Baghirov, chairman of the Congress of the Azerbaijani Community in Belarus.

Committee Chairman highly appreciated the role of the Azerbaijani diaspora in the development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Belarus and in the expansion of cultural relations between the two countries. He noted that Azerbaijani community and compatriots abroad and their activity are currently under the attention of President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-president Mehriban Aliyeva.

Subsequently, Natig Baghirov was presented the medal "For service in Diaspora activity" of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Natig Baghirov expressed his gratitude to the Azerbaijani state for the high appreciation of his work. He stated that Azerbaijanis living abroad had always supported President Ilham Aliyev's policies and would continue to spare no effort for the development of bilateral relations between their countries and for ensuring that the activities of the diaspora become more organized.

It should be noted that Natig Baghirov, master of sports in sambo on the USSR, and honored master of sports in both judo and sambo in Belarus, is a world and two-time European medalist. Since 2022, he has been an advisor to the president of the Azerbaijan Judo Federation.
